StudentRelate systems bring many benefits to disability services departments and student services departments in general.
Ease of use
StudentRelate software is easy and intuitive to use. The software is also completely flexible and customisable so it will fit in with the way your student disability services work and, crucially, how you would like them to work.
Developed with staff
We believe disability services projects often fail when software specialists impose a rigid design on what is after all a very human and relationship-dependent service. This has several negative consequences. Our approach to implementing student support software is different to other companies'. Right from the start we involve the people who will be using the system, so that it does what they need it to do and works in a way that fits in with their unique department.
Staff will feel confident using the system because they have been involved in the process from the start.
As the administrative needs of the organisation change, the system evolves and can easily be updated by the Application Administrator, who will be an existing member of your staff that we work with right from the start.
The StudentRelate project can be up and running quickly and is adaptable to the rapidly changing demands of disability student services.
Classroom support worker appointments
The management of classroom support worker appointments is an increasingly complex problem. Fitting the availability and skills of the support worker to many students with different schedules is done by the StudentRelate timetabling system. The system caters for travel distance between lectures, non-uniform start times and lecture patterns that vary from week to week.
For drop-in clinics and other appointment-based work with students, there is a benefit from having a front-desk appointment management system with support staff availability shown in a simple columnar view. This also works for phone-in clinics. Students simply provide their registration numbers and appointments are booked with a few mouse clicks.
